Membership

While we encourage men who can sing to join us, we hope that they will eventually become members.

To become a member of C-Way Sound Barbershop chorus, you should be a member in good standing of the Barbershop Harmony Society, and pay annual fees, which are calculated as follows:

Society fees are $82, Ontario District Fees are $52.54 — all figures are US dollars. As well, every singer (member or not) is asked to contribute a loonie each week that he attends.

We ask members to purchase certain uniforms for performance. Sometimes these are subsidized, if we have the funds.

Members who know the songs often sign up for sing-outs, where we visit hospitals or nursing homes or go to other places such as malls on special occasions to sing. We also visit other Chapters in our region to sing with them, and they occasionally visit us.

We are currently contemplating a major show in June 2009.
